As a connecting assignment to our infographic our next assignment was to create a YouTube video for PUSH Physical Therapy aiming at raising awareness of what PUSH PT is, where it's located, and how accessible it is to Purdue graduate students. I worked in a group with 4 other people on this project and our focus was on preventative treatment that PUSH PT has to offer. It's a pretty fun video.

The other part to this assignment was to create a month long social media plan based off of research we found online about social media channels and what Purdue PUSH PT already had to offer. We created 15 Facebook posts, 11 tweets, and 2 blog posts strategically placed to be posted during times based on the research we found. There is an editorial calendar with everything planned. I played a huge role in this part of the project because social media is something I know a lot about.

This was a 2 person assignment in which I was randomly assigned to work with another pr major person from another class. We wrote our feature story on Jasmine Linabary, PhD, who is the associate director of research and operations for the Purdue Peace Project. After an in-depth interview and come back and forth emails, we were able to create this feature story that will be published in the Brian Lamb School of Communication's The Communicator!

In this assignment I was given the task to create a media pitch. I was given a scenario that required me to play the role of a public relations specialist for the U.S. Highbush blueberry council. I had to research a reporter/journalist that covered local Indiana news that related closely to the topic at hand. Embedded in this section is a media pitch that I would have hypothetically sent to the news reporter I selected. Also included is a short document of why I chose Shari and my idea  I would've liked to share with her. .

News releases are one of my favorites. For this assignment we were given another scenario (that actually happened) and were required to write a news release that focused on an Olympic swimmer named Dara Torres being the spokeswoman for meningococcal meningitis and the Indiana State Department of Health.

This assignment was 1 of 3 that I did not do alone. I was in a group with two others and we had to create a four-part infographic for our client, PUSH Physical Therapy. Our target audience was graduate students mainly focusing on their frequent neck and back pain. My group chose to focus on how neck and back pain affects graduate students mental health, which is a direct correlation to the time they spend doing schoolwork in general.
